How True!

When i heard the words from my father "get real with the world" I didn't appreciate what he was saying but I think that it has had a profound effect on me and I have realized so clearly what he means and how frustrating it is when someone seems to have little grip on the world and priorities in life.

I think the 2nd year of university has changed me dramatically, in terms of what I think about life and given me a sense of reality into what i need to make my priorities and how lucky I am to have what I have in the world. I think something amazing has also happened to me, I believe that I have, to a degree, unlocked the section of my brain that makes me have the desire to learn. I have felt the need to start the work that I am doing, but am also finding the further reading and looking into the subject amazingly interesting and I believe that this is something I needed to have happen to me.

All of these things, to me, have really said something to me, they have, I think, "grown up". And that was something that someone who meant a lot to me said I needed to do. And I know that they will probably not see this, but I guess that was something else that has had a profound effect on me.

So for those people, from the deepest place in my heart, I thank you, Its helped me! And yeah I see where you were coming from guys, all I can say is i'm sorry. Hope it will be something to you to know that the comments have hit me like a ton of bricks, and I have taken those comments on board and am so much happier right now.

:D.

Why am I doing this?

Hello people,

So, over the past 6 months or so, I have been advised, persuaded and almost press ganged by my friends to write a blog, and it was today that I caved into the peer pressure and to actually write about myself on yet another medium for the world to see if they so wish!

Who am I? Well I am a second year accounting and finance student at university. Now, before you stop reading as you may have a preconception that I am boring because of this, I think this is far from the case.

I am one of those people who have a "Yes Man" attitude to life. I am always up for trying new things, be it a new sport to try out or something completely random for example, today, driving controlling the gears and the steering while a friend controlled the pedals. The way I look at things, as long as there is potential for even the slightest of laughs, a good time with my friends or anyway that I can find out something new that I can use in my life (fingers crossed all 3 at the same time, although don't want to be too greedy) then I'm all game for that!

I hope you guys don't think i'm just a " boring accountant", and if i can change one persons view of that, if i can pass on any knowledge that I have (although my friends would question the amount of knowledge *all banter*) or if i can make even one person amused by this blog, then I know in myself that this has been a great success!
